Bedont Orthodontics Team: What Makes Them Special?
At Bedont Orthodontics, we are very interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We put your needs first to achieve efficient and comprehensive treatment. Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is an expanded function orthodontic dental assistant (EFODA) and is certified in radiation health and safety, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care.

Office Manager
The best part of my job is making people smile. When I joined the office in 1997 as a high school senior I only got to see a glimpse of what was so great about what we do. After finishing school I rejoined the team as a clinical assistant in 2002 and have since enjoyed seeing the magic of making smiles every day. I work hard with patients on education, cooperation and good oral hygiene, and help all patients understand the importance of everything we do, every step of the way. It is important to me that my patients love coming to see me. I want to be the best part of their day!
When I am not building lasting friendships with my orthodontic family I love to be at home with my husband and two teenagers, Braedon and BreeAnn. I love piling on the couch to watch movies and eat junk food when I can't play outside, and camping and 4-wheeling when I can.

Prior to coming to work for Dr. Bedont I worked in banking with no previous knowledge of orthodontics. I can easily say that I enjoy coming to work in such a positive environment.
When I am not at work you can usually find me with my husband Michael playing outdoors with our dog Theodore. I love camping and consider myself a novice hiker.

Orthodontic Assistant
Growing up I knew I wanted to either work in the dental field or be a baker. Right out of high school I got my start in the dental field as a receptionist in a dental office. In a few months I realized my true desire was actually treating patients in the clinic. I followed that desire and have never looked back. I love my career as an orthodontic assistant! It is very satisfying, even exciting, to be a part of changing one of our patient’s lives by straightening their smile. There’s nothing better than seeing that great big brace-free grin the day the braces come off!
I grew up in Portland and met and married my husband, Mike, in 1990. Mike and I like to spend lots of time with family. We enjoy the outdoors, sports, baking, and serving in our church and community.

Orthodontic Assistant
It is your last appointment and it is time to finish your orthodontic treatment. I remove the braces, get all the teeth polished, and hand you the mirror. You take a look and see your beautiful new smile for the first time and are so excited and happy that a small tear rolls down your cheek. This is why I fell I love with orthodontics. Being able to be part of someone’s journey from the beginning to the end is the best part of my day. I never thought that working in the mouth was something I would like, but man was I wrong. It is not just the end result of braces either, but creating new relationships, helping people through rough times, and trying to be the best part of their day is what it is really about. I have been working in the orthodontic field since 2016 and might be kind of known for as the “loud one.” I am a very energetic and excited person when it comes to braces!
When I am not putting my gloves on and making your teeth sore I will probably be outside every possible moment. You will be able to find me out riding dirt bikes, working on my truck, or on the lake with friends.

I have loved working as an orthodontic assistant since the time I started back in 2005. The best part about my job is watching smiles transform and confidence build.
I married my husband Josh in 2001 and we have two children and a dog named Sequoia. My daughter, Amiee, is going to college to be a nurse, and my son, Joel, is studying engineering.
When we have free time we like to go camping and ride quads. Our newest fun thing is taking our boat out on the river.

I moved to Oregon with my husband so he could start dental school at OHSU, and found that starting a new chapter can be difficult. However, working in this office has brought me a sense of belonging. I have a background in Athletic Training and Nutrition, so I never imagined that I would be working in the mouth. Now I love the connections I make with patients by helping them achieve the smile of their dreams. I feel grateful that I get to be a part of this process.
When I am not at work you can find me camping and hiking through the PNW with my husband Andrew.

Before becoming an orthodontic assistant I worked as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. My interest in the orthodontic field started in middle school when I had my braces taken off and I was finally able to smile showing my teeth with confidence. I loved what braces did for me so I am excited to now be on the other side and help create beautiful smiles!

My journey to the dental field began as a middle schooler, when I got to have orthodontic treatment. I was amazed at how the changes to my smile made my self-confidence soar. No more “fangs”. I knew then that I wanted to be part of this process for others too. I became a dental assistant in a general practice in 1984 and got my dream job in an orthodontic office in 2004. I enjoy the outcomes and transformation for each patient we treat. I’ve seen patients and their children come through orthodontics and friendships have been made.
When not working, I enjoy traveling, bicycling, and spending time with my grown sons, my sweetie, and my dog Reco.
