Community Involvement

At Bedont Orthodontics, we care about the communities we work and live in and do what we can to help and support organizations and charities in our area.  The following is a list of some of the programs that we support:

Rotary Logo.png

Rotary is the largest service organization in the world and it’s stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world.  There are over 35,000 member clubs world-wide and over 1.2 million individuals have joined.

Dr. Bedont is a member of the Gresham Rotary club and currently serves as the scholarship committee chair.  The Gresham club supports the world initiatives of Rotary as well as local initiatives such as awarding $19,000 in scholarships each year to local students attending Mt. Hood Community College.  The club also helps with many local service projects supporting Meals on Wheels, Camp Collins, Johnson Creek Restoration, and park maintenance.  The club also hands out dictionaries to all third graders in the area to help improve literacy.

Ways to help: You can join Rotary!  If you don’t have the time to join, you can also support Rotary by participating in fund raising events such as the annual Steak Fry held in September each year.

The Portland Choir and Orchestra has been delighting audiences with excellent, inspiring choral and orchestral music since 2005.

Dr. Bedont has been singing with the choir since 2015 and is currently the bass section leader.  Bedont Orthodontics is also a proud sponsor of the Portland Choir and Orchestra.

Ways to help:  If you enjoy singing, you can audition and join the choir.  If you prefer to just listen, you can buy tickets and come and enjoy beautiful music at one of their concerts!  Tickets can be purchased online from their website.

Do Good Multnomah is a non-profit organization that partners with the community to provide permanent supportive housing and low-barrier emergency shelter to houseless Veterans in Portland, Oregon.  They provide over 200 shelter beds in 24/7 facilities, transitional and permanent supportive housing, and housing assistance.

One of our team members, Nicole, has a special interest in this organization because her husband works for Do Good Multnomah.  Bedont Orthodontics has helped by donating to their cause.

Ways to help:  Donations of funds or specific items are always welcome.  You can find out more about how to help here.

Our Giving Table sets out to make sure every child in Foster Care and less privileged homes in the Pacific Northwest has the nutrition needed to thrive at home and school.  They also provide other needed items to these children.

Bedont Orthodontics has partnered with Our Giving Table by collecting hygiene items at our annual Patient Appreciation Movie.

Ways to help:  Donate funds, food, hygiene items, or your own time to Our Giving Table.  We will always accept hygiene items at Bedont Orthodontics that we will deliver to Our Giving Table.

Bedont Orthodontics supports Apple of His Eye Charity by sponsoring a table at their yearly Gala event.

The Bella Fund

Bella Bed.jpg

The focus of the Bella Fund is to assist families and special needs children by providing safety beds for the children in need.  These beds help the entire family by enhancing the special child’s independence.

Bedont Orthodontics has helped with fundraiser breakfasts and also donates to this worthy charity.

Ways to help: You can donate money through their website at any time to help make a bed for the next deserving special needs child that lives in the Pacific Northwest.
