Lingual Braces are the same as metal braces, however, they're hidden behind the teeth - making them unnoticeable.  Lingual Braces are made individually and uniquely to the size and shape of your mouth/teeth.

While Lingual Braces are invisible from the outside and are a perfect choice for athletes, models and professions of a similar fashion; they're much more expensive, much more difficult to clean than traditional braces, and regular adjustments take longer - with more difficulty.  They may also be uncomfortable to start with, and are not recommended for severe cases.
